hello from about 10am till about 6pm my room starts to heat up mainly durning the hot points of the day, would it be best to just turn the lights off ? or maybe keep 1 on and 1 off ? or can i run lights on for lets say for example 1 hour on and 1 hour off durning the peak hot hours ?

what temp is at the point were i should turn my lights off ? whats too hot?

does different light cycle changes hurt the plant ? (autoflower)

Hey tikdo, what lights are you running? are they air cooled hoods or open? You are gonna have to spend some $ on an AC unit if you cannot control temps. I have heat issues and have determined I need to use a window ac unit to cool off my room that the tent is in. I sealed off the bedroom and keep the room a constant 70 degrees F. Then just use a passive system to bring cool air in tent, and exhaust hot air from tent with ducting out the window.

For autoflowers you want to go at least 18 to 20 hours a day uninterrupted. You may want to invest in a cooler running system (LED) if you are running hid lights.

im runing 2 600 watt hps (no cool tube just open shade), some days i can get away with it 24/7 and some days i have to put on 18/6 , but what im mainly wondering is that going to make much problem ? so far i got 1 of my chocolate skunks into flowering seems to b going alright, but what temp would u say i should turn lights off if maybe 1 day it maybe gets extra warm ?

if i grew it to this point should it b alright in producing the rest of the flowering stage ?
i think this is about day 24-26 roughly

I would say anything greater then 18 degree change throughout the day is bad.
With that, I would keep them between 66-84 \ 68-86 degree range. but if it falls in that range all the time, your good to go IMHO
Considering where some strains are from, that probably close to nature.

autos can be run 18/6,20/4,24/0 even 12/12.i like to run 19/5 just to be different.
from what ive read you shouldnt play about with the light cycle too much.
good luck
:pighug:

In the summer my temps have gone as high as 115F and the plants survived with no problem, though I try to keep it below 95F, with 86F being the sweet spot. The biggest help for me was setting the timer for my 'night time' to noon to 6PM, the hottest part of the day.
