Even for a soil grow?

I know they add chloramine (chlorine and ammonia).

I’m currently on my first grow — using tap water. I let it sit out for 48 hrs + before using. And I PH it before feeding my plants. Haven’t ran into any issues…I’m in soil as well.

I've used tap water straight from the faucet for all my grows. It sits for maybe 5 minutes while I mix in nutes and carry it to the basement. That's it.

No issues thus far on any of my grows. Sometimes we over think things.

I've also been told that using my 2 stage RV water filter will be fine.

I was under the impression that chloramine will not gas off. Need a filter to get ride of it. They sell a rv one that works for the end of a hose. Herd good thing about them and they are pretty cheap.

Call your town hall or city hall if you want to know what's in your water (trust me, they will know.)

Our municipality is literally water pumped out of the ground with chlorine added. No filtration, no other chemicals. It's over 500 ppm from the tap (very high manganese) and has pH of over 8.0 Not every city/town treats their water the same, and some treatments are vastly different depending on what's in the source water.

If you are worried about the water, the above is a good point. You can get free reports from your town.

However, I still think that it's not that important to worry about. If you grow other plants / veggies with the water, then it's fine for cannabis. It's easy to get caught up in all the variables that you can try to control. When I find myself going down that path, I think back to the Strains Hunter Jamaica episode (you can see it for free on YouTube). There's a dude just using water from god-knows where to water a bunch of cannabis growing inside old car tires.

For me, at the end of the day, it's just a plant. Just like my roses, hot peppers, tomatoes, etc. And if I'm watering those with tap / hose water, then it's good enough for my cannabis.
