Hello. I have never tried anything like this before so please go easy on me. I know my setup is pretty dreadful.

I live in a cold European climate and am attempting to grow white window autoflowers indoors. They are currently sitting in a photographic light tent and I am using USB powered LED lights for 20 hours per day. I also have a mains powered light but it's potentially too high up and not providing any directional light (see image 9309).

The light tent is set up in a separate outhouse to my main property - it's not particularly warm in there, probably around 17-18 degrees C.

After germinating, I planted these up on 14th October. It is now 5th December. They have grown to a height of about 10cm. All 3 plants require support (the stems are very thin) but a couple of them appear to be wilting and dying, see image 9314 as an example.

Would you suggest I keep going with the current setup or change things around?

If need be, I could take them out of the tent and bring them into my main property where it's warmer.

I think they definitely need more light and warmer temps mate......are they photos or autos?....for the stretchy stems you can fill your pots upto just before the first set of leaves

They are an autoflowering variety. I give them a 20 / 4 light cycle.

I think you are right, they probably haven't flourished because my lights aren't great and the temperature in that room may have been too cold. I will move them into my main property where its warmer and try to bring the light closer

Do they look small considering they're about 7 weeks old?

i think your going to need better lights and as the green bandit said that temp is way to low as they need to be kept nice and snug

if I'm being honest with you growbro they are never going to amount to much and for 7 weeks they look more like days old and if i was you i would get a better light and start afresh as we will all help you along the way also nice to meet you bro

Right, fair enough.

I appreciate your honesty. I wanted a 'grow experiment' with the least amount of fuss & expense as possible.

For now, I'm going to move the healthiest one into a warmer room and try to get more light on it, but I won't hold my breath.

If things don't work out, I'll try again in the summer, most likely outdoors.

Environment plays a BIG part of getting nice sized autos. 10 degrees makes a very large difference.
Unfortunaly these girls will not amount to much.
I know it may not sound gentle, but there really is a lot more to this than just putting a seed in the dirt.
Restart when you have the appropriate equipment.
Most of us have probably tried to grow indoor on a shoestring budget... tent, lighting, soil etc can be a huge expense. I spend several hundred dollars on an indoor run in a 4x4 (one grow cycle) That is cut more than 50% when I run outdoor, but personally, I prefer my indoor grown weed.
There are things that can be put off, and items that are really necessary. Pop in and ask for help when your ready to try and set things up. Many here have been doing this for a very long time, we can help cut the corners that can be cut.

heya @yellowmug and :welcome: to afn! :toke: and welp, i'll be brutally honest -> pull em & start over  :rolleyes2: as otherz have said, more light & warmth are needed ;) also, i don't see any perlite in that soil :yoinks: perlite is a def must in soil, to help it b r e a t h e & drain well  ur soil has probly compacted down below, prohibiting the rootz from growing & in a nutshell -> no rootz, no fruit  ppp

Mega crop 1 part for nutrients if u dont got any nutes yet. And autocobs for lights from cobshop.net. keep it simple stoner. A decent ph/ppm pen and your golden bro. Feed 500ppm nutes and ph adjust accordingly. Biobizz light mix is some great soil. Adjust to 6.4 to 6.6 ph and your golden

For now us put those lights right on top of their plants. Needs more light. May be able to improve if u put light very close to plants. Will give em warmth and more light. Dont give up til the fat lady sings.
