A 150 watt is too small. A 250 would work well in that size space, IF, and it's a big if, you can control the heat. A 240 watt LED would be my recommendation. Far less heat to deal with and outstanding results.

Regarding your soil choice, All Mix can be too hot for a lot of seedlings and can stunt them. I would recommend going with light Mix for seedlings and the All Mix once they are established.

if ur new to this i would also advice on leds. the cost of bulb,hood,ballast and maybe a fan blowing air through hood, ducting.against a led. take it out of box plug in much more power than 250w hps and the electricty u use could be 50% cheaper , just my and good karma whatever u decide and ps im not selling one and i dont work for a led company

Yeah man...you need either an air cooled hood w/ducted fan or an LED setup...HID will cook your plants in that size space without a full air cooling setup.

hi everyone thanks for the info.. to be honest i dont want to go spending so much on a light just yet and i can get a setup of 250 watt hid with hood ballast and bulb for like 70 euros, and a 150 one for 65 heres links to both

OH Nother question is could i not just flush all mix a couple times to remove nutes or would it not work because of the time release nature of things?

Those are not the proper type reflectors to use in a small space like that. You would need either a vented hood or a cool tube, where you can pull air directly through the hood to remove the hot air better.

To answer your other question, no, flushing the All Mix wouldn't remove enough of the nutrients.

I realise that but its cheaper to get the set than to seperately order all the parts and i can get a cool tube for like 30 euros or im just going to diy one im very handy with diy stuff i just cant seem to find any glass tubes anywhere its a pain in the bollox.. can you tell me approximately how long is a hid with fixture?

I guess i will just go ahead and order light mix then, how soon would i have to start with the nutes when growing in light mix?
