I need a better strategy for growing autos from regular seeds.

Three nice healthy plants in the tray to grow. All males.
I made my own seeds by crossing 2 of my favorite autos. It's Coal miner's daughter (male) / Witcher's' creek. I'll call it Witchers' Daughter for now.
I grow in a semi-organic soil mix and use water only method. Excepting top dress. I prefer direct sowing autos for fear of damaging the roots or shocking the plant. Since I have plenty of seeds, I planted a few and intended to weed out the males. I hoped at least one plant would be female out of three.

So, here's the question. If you are growing in some soil mix and intend to transplant, and want to do the least harm to the roots of the plant, what is your procedure?
It took about 21 days for the plants to show their little balls.
If it wasn't winter and I had them in smaller containers I would definitely save one male for the pollen.

Some people will use double solo cups for transplanting. You can also use "non woven seedling bags" and you plant the whole bag and roots grow right through it

I take 2 cups cut the bottom off and slice up 2 sides leaving the rim intact. Then I take the other cup and poke holes in the bottom and then put the other cup in that cup. The only issue will be a that I've heard from a lot of folks is transplanting them soon enough. It needs to be done ASAP before the root hit the bottom of cup and start working there way around the bottom cup. Some strains may take others may not and go right into flower

Also I great white myco at transplant but any myco will do

No problem something else I thought i of I see alot of folks using reg auto planting multi plants per pot then culling the ones they don’t want might need a little bigger pot but have seen plenty of orgypots in 5 gallon pots of soil

Yeah that does sound like crappy odds but I don’t know I’ve never done it. The ones that I know to talk to about this would be @Mossy and @BCBudlady maybe they have some better ideas

Nah...you are Spot on @Lil Dab ... ...just Unlucky @FullMoonparty ...

You have made your own seed...triple up....and cut out your excess.....they don't mind...
