I bought one 3 cubic foot bail of promix because it was cheaper than buying 2 11lb compressed blocks of coco coir. Promix dries out quicker and doesn't soak up water from a drip tray as well as coir does. It's just in inferior product. Anyways end rant.

There is nothing wrong with Pro-Mix. It is the best peat mix I have used. For excellent example of what competent use of this medium can produce, chase down some pics of plants produced by @Cave Dirt Cody.
