New Grower Hydroponic and led grow

I went with led vs hps for the advantage of lesser hea. But as you can see I'm still having heat problems

Have you got any extract fan?

The thing they never tell you about led is that the drivers generate heat even if the actual Led doesn't.

Heat + hydro = humidity. Need to be changing the air in the grow room regularly. Not an issue for the seedlings, but as soon as you have some foliage going on it may.

No I was trying to avoid needing a extractor. Since it is set up in a closet I have very little space. But looks like I'm gonna need one regardless. I would need something quiet. Any suggestions?

Yes your almost always going to need an extractor fan.... Mine is slightly on the loud side I mean it can be heard that doesn't bother me though. I'm sure someone else here cares about noise and will provide you with some input of a good fan that's quiet.

Most extracts for this purpose are of the inline type which are reasonably quiet. My grow is in the loft above my bedroom so I've had a few noise issues.

The best bet is to get one with a variable speed control, so you can adjust it down low when noise is an issue. I mount all fans on bungee cords as most of the noise seems to come from vibration. The other source of noise is the air rushing in and out under pressure from the fan.

I set my times so that the gardens dark period starts around bedtime, I've found the noise isn't enough to wake you once you are asleep but it's enough to keep you awake when trying to drop off.
