Hi AFN sorry to have to come to you on such a serious note but i need some help, my little brother lives in Indiana and is 20 and has Hydrocephalus ˌhdrɵˈsɛfələs/, also known as "water on the brain," is a medical condition in which there is an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the ventricles, or cavities, of the brain. This may cause increased intracranial pressure inside the skull and progressive enlargement of the head, convulsion, tunnel vision, and mental disability. Hydrocephalus can also cause death. Although it does occur in older adults, it is more common in infants.[2]

When it comes to this my brother has been almost a miracle, he completely normal no mental disorders or anything that the doctors said that he would have. hes only have 5 surgeries at most when i see others have had 50-100+ so i feel hes really blessed in that aspect, but in the last couple years he has been suffering from seizures. He had one yesterday walking to his girlfriend house in the middle of the street! Luckily it was in front of a fire station and they saw him was able to get him before he was ran over or anything(busy street in Indianapolis). They put him on seizure meds he has to take twice a day and who knows the side effects that’s going to cause. i was wondering if anyone know anything about Hydrocephalus and or seizures that can help my brother out? Would medical Marijuana help him?

Im so sorry to hear this, I hope he is well. My wife started having seizures when she was pregnant with our fist child, my boy was born by an emergency operation under full anesthesia after a particularly nasty seizure, I can relate to what you are feeling.
One of the reasons I am growing herb is to make a tincture to see if I can take my wife of the meds, we really want to have another child. I was inspired by a Documentary on CNN that they showed on Direct TV, it was by that Dr. Sanjay Gupta, in there they showed a little girl that had around 200 seizures per week!
She was cured my MMJ, that made me make up my mind and I started researching and found this site....and well the rest is history.
I will let you know when I have completed our experiment and let you know how it went.
On a side note, unless MMJ can release the pressure in the skull I don't think it will stop the seizures, my wife's are caused by too much electrical activity, here it cant help.
I am not a doctor however, I advise you to seek the help of a Pro MMJ Doctor.
Saludos!

Thank you for the info bob and i would love to hear how it goes Chankry

IDS...I Prefer to be able to give you first hand info on Tests that I have run but I haven't tried it on Either...so I hope this Info Helps

Of course marijuana is extremely effective for other diseases. The most
recent I have read about: Medical
http://bangordailynews.com/2012/09/...reats-boys-epilepsy-without-getting-him-high/ pot treats boy’s epilepsy, without getting him high. The little boy has
been swallowing droppers full of a solution made mostly of cannabidiol, or CBD,
the second most prominent of marijuana’s 100 or so cannabinoids. Unlike the
dominant THC, cannabidiol is not psychoactive, so the sweet-tasting infusion
Jayden takes four times a day doesn’t make him high.

Down from 22 prescription pills per day to four, he now
eats solid food, responds to his father’s incessant requests for kisses and
dances in his Modesto living room to the “Yo Gabba Gabba!” theme song. The
frequency and intensity of his seizures have been greatly
reduced.

CBD was virtually bred out of U.S. plants decades ago by
growers whose customers preferred the mind-altering properties of high-THC
varietals. Yet it is experiencing a resurgence, having shown promise as an
anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant, neuroprotectant and cancer-fighting
agent.

Studies have shown THC is “overwhelmingly
anticonvulsant” in animals, said Dr. Ben Whalley, a researcher at
Britain’s University of Reading, but CBD and some other non-psychoactive
cannabinoids have shown similar effects without the mind-altering downside.
