New Grower Hydro question. How long and often do I water for?

Hi.

I'm going to setup my 4 X 5 gallon bucket with a 5 gallon reservoir system with 5 inch netpots. I have my seeds in rockwool cubes that will be placed on top of hydroton clay.

I'm not sure how long to turn the reservoir on for or how often.

when i run my ebb and flow system same type of thing and run pump for 15 mins every 3 hours when lights are on to start with and see wot my girls want but i find 15 every 3 hours a good start somone better than me will prob chime in soon and then i will learn somthing as well but i was happy with my last 2 hydro harvests i just got a thing for dirt lol

So does that one on the far left connect to the other 4, being an epicenter? And does it drain the water from the other 4 buckets or does it recirculate the water in all 5 buckets?

Yes the one on the far left will be my reservoir and they are all connected at the bottom to send water back to the reservoir which then resuses the water. I havent set it up yet just in rockwool cubes but I have tubes connecting the bottom of the buckets to go back to the 5th bucket on the left which has a pump to feed them that comes out the top.

Hmm, so one 5 gallon bucket supplies the 15 or so gallons the other buckets need? I think it's safe to assume this is all recirculating, right?

Yes it is recirculating

Ok, so then to answer your question that system will always be feeding and watering. You just have to maintain the pH and EC in your res tank. It should recirculate the soup constantly.
