Mephisto Genetics Hubbabubbasmelloscope #4 by Margahooja

WOW! Beautiful plant Marga, and more to the point, beautiful DINO petrol pump too! My father has around 30-40 pumps, some fully restored and some unrestored. Some really rare very old ones as well he tells me. I'm quite into petroliana and automobilia, I have lots of enamel signs and oil pourers/petrol cans etc. My dad got me into it - he's a real auto nerd!

Thanks NB, I've slowed quite a bit but old time petroliana is my thing. 30-40 pumps:woody:now you have my attention.

Yeah he's got all sorts of pumps, some are very old ones he reckons. Most of them are skeleton pumps but he has a few with globes on like your Dino one. He has them all around his garage amongst a whole plethora of other associated automobilia, vintage motorcycles, old kid's pedal cars, various globes and even vintage fire extinguishers!! He's a hoarder! I recently went with him to another fanatic's house that he met and picked up a collection of 130 old petrol cans (with the brass screw tops) Shell, Colfranc, BP, etc etc. Took us ages to load them all onto the van!! It's interesting stuff though, i'm quite hooked on it all.

I had to slow down when I started growing, my petroliana room has to share with grow tents now. Texaco and Sinclair (dino) being my favorite brands.

Wow that's a sacrifice! But a good one. I love the Dino branding, instantly recognisable. I personally like vintage Michelin stuff, especially like this:

The 'Michelin Man' is a real cheeky chappy on the older stuff!
