Mephisto Genetics Hubbabubbasmelloscope #4 by Margahooja

Just read the whole thing. Fantastic grows Marga! After reading through a couple of your HBSS and the OG run, I may have tent issues (I hope). I have a 4X2X5. I am using 3 gal containers. 2 Airpots and one Smartpot. Also LED (same lights as you!) and General Organics. If I'm half as successful as you, I will be one happy woman!

You mentioned using preventative measures in your grow room for pests. I'm guessing those worked out well as you said you've had no issues. I think I will do the same as during my last grow I had some pesky issues.

Thanks for the great info! Looking forward to your next journal :)
I tried anyways on the preventative measures. I had thrips twice this summer, must have been after my last HBSS grow because I mentioned in a couple threads, and had fungus gnats which were just annoying more than anything. For prevention I tried Beneficial Nematodes. I couldn't tell you one way or another on those because I'm not convinced they were even alive when I got them. I'll be trying them again. I've also used Azamax for the thrips and fungus gnats, and I've had success with that, it just took some time to completely get the gnats. And yellow stickies also. Now I give Azamax soil drench once in awhile to help with prevention. My plan is to grow hard this fall through spring and just shut down for next summer and not have to deal with insects.

I have Neem Oil which is supposed to work pretty well. I've also read that a combo of the Neem Oil and the Azamax works great too. I will give that a try.

I'm with you on that schedule! I took everything down in early June. It was just too humid and the bugs were awful. Plus, summer is just a busy time. So I have everything planned for this growing season already. I am going to attempt a perpetual set up, planting every 40 days or so. Looking forward to fall and winter conditions for sure!

Yes on the neem oil too, I have it and it was recommended to alternate treatments because thrips could become immune to just one, luckily I only needed the azamax and I did a foliar with an insecticidal soap on the alternate spray. That sounds like a good plan.

Day 59. Had to tie up more branches that were getting weighted down. No other issues. Still feeding every other day.
