Indoor How would you do it? (advice for room set-up)

Hey everyone, just looking for a little advice or feedback on starting up. I'll give you a rundown on what I'm planning and thinking and maybe some of you would be willing to point out my mistakes or provide solutions based upon experience.
Thanks in advance, I've been lurking in these forums for a couple of months and have much respect for many of you already, not just from your grows but from your interaction with each other-not like some other places. Anyway, here we go...

Temp control is first problem. Ambient temps will soon be 90's - 100's until prob Sept. if not later. I plan to frame and insulate a 6'x8' area (7' or so high) and use a small window a/c. I will initially use only a fraction of this space but hope to eventually have several individual projects running in here. I will be using soil and starting with a small led (the Blackstar 240 seems to have good feedback) to which I can add as needed/able.
Second issue is ventilation and odor control- I don't want to vent my cool air to replace with hot anymore than I have to and in the beginning probably wont need to much with the ratio of grow space vs room size. However, with a/c going and positive pressure I will need at least some passive venting. I anticipate needing forced exhaust at some time either for air exchange, humidity/temp control etc. This leads to odor control-is it efective to just recirculate room air through a filter and then allow passive exhaust or am I looking for trouble.
How much am I overlooking?, How much am I overthinking?
My goal is for maximum efficiency and upgradability for initial investment. As far as the room itself is concerned I would like to do it right the first time as much as possible. I will be content starting out growing only a couple plants. I want to start slow, learn and expand as I get comfortable. Time and experience will hopefully get results but I feel like doing the room right will set me up more for success than failure. I'm well read on grow basics and theory but lack the hands on experience to design the room and solve environmental issues. Thanks again.

Upon further thought, is there any reason not to just build a small well insulated box of approx. this size inside my available space (which is uninsulated from ambient temps) and run a small a/c-heat-humidity unit within that space, utilize inside odor control and vent for air exchange prn. CO2 could be supplemented. Essentially cost of running hid replaced with temp control as led would be used. Understanding that I,m not trying to set commercial records, only cover medical needs and produce optimum product.

Sounds like a good plan you got . Get the thing running and see how it is and by trial and error you can adjust accordingly.
