Indoor How to get involvement with threads? Very fustrating.

First off thanks everyone for your contributions to this thread. I really appreciate you dropping by to give your advice!

@FullDuplex I agree with what you're saying, thank you very much for your replies. They all make sense. I didn't mention another autoflower forum however, I think you misread something - I wouldn't be that disrespectful! I also agree with what you're saying re. the types of traffic in a thread. And of course there are the occasional thread which doesn't get much action, however none of the threads or diaries I have made so far have got that much action, which is why I was growing frustrated. You're right in the way that yes, I would like a few comments occasionally telling me I'm doing okay and my plants look good and healthy, or what I could be doing better/changing or suggestions, or general chat! As an inexperienced grower, confidence and reassurance are the two things I would most like at this stage as I don't really know what I'm doing compared to the wizards on here!

@Habitual - thanks man! Appreciated :)
@sanguine - cheers mate! How do you follow threads? Or subscribe? I've always been confused when people say 'subbed' or whatever, I have no idea how to do that, and it would be useful!

when you go to someones thread, up in the top right corner, at the very top of the thread, it says in green, follow thread, click that, then choose your options. :pass:

Also, you can copy the address from your diary, and paste it to your signiture, that way everytime you write a comment somewhere, there is a handy little link to your grow. I just copy and paste my link, but people like @Frogster create great looking links using the seed breeders name ect.

Let your plants do the talking in the end. It can seem like few if anyone will engage. FullDuplex explained it well if your grow is going good then you get a lot of views,not everyone is going to leave a comment especially if there is no asking for advice or help. I have done a few and have not had a ton of involvement in the thread but had hundreds of views which is great that tells me people are at least peeking in. Have fun with it and grow away. You have to take it with a grain of salt. Once you build up some really good logs that showcase your skills people will come automatically because they want to see what you are going to do next but it takes time.

Thanks so much guys. I've been helped a lot in this thread, and I don't feel so frustrated now and appreciate it's part and parcel of being new on here! I didn't mean to cause any offence or seem like I was moaning just to be clear, I've learnt everything I know from lurking around here for a while, so thanks everyone very much! :smoking:

My golden forum rules:

1 : Choose a user name that people can "communicate" with on a first person basis, say not 365sodofXXl BB34THISSUCKS......or some such!

2 : ALWAYS mention specifically what is being grown in the thread title, breeder and strain, grow type/system, product being tested, etc, etc.... Personally, threads with titles such as My garden of weed, Dude grows dank and Great hairy balls of bud..... Is unlikely to pique my curiosity and interest....

3 : Humor, politeness, respect and a dollop of self-depreciation goes a long way, as well as a measure of proof that google or whatever finger pointing service is preferred, has been consulted before asking "how do I grow great buds"....

4 : NEVER ask more than 1 question per post
