60 and lucky to be standing!

3 transplants and I am in great shape! Should have died 13 years ago. God keeps me for some reason. And he introduced me to his wonderful plant in 1974. Been puffing ever since!

Thank you, GOD

I find this hobby tends to favor the older, more mature and patient. You need the money and wherewithal to spend on equipment and a secure place to grow. You also need to have the patience and will to do your research and procurement in a "taboo" area without much authoritative or accessible documentation. Add to that the fact that you're not going to see a return on your investment and efforts for several months. This tends to discourage younger folks of limited means looking for a quick solution. I did my first grow when I was 22, almost two decades ago and it was a total amateur job, with fluorescent tube shop lights, bag seed from Mexican brickweed and no nutes except for miracle gro fish emulsion and Ed Rosenthal's book on growing weed that I purloined from my job at the bookstore. The waiting killed me, but it was exciting to put it together, care for it and anticipate the rich rewards. I still got some fabulous weed(albeit comparatively small amounts to today) and a great sense of satisfaction! I came back to it years later when I got tired of dealing with sketchy unreliable dealers and realized that when you strip aside all the stigma, this is just a plant that you can grow as well or as poorly as you like and achieve "weed independence" with some guts, money and sweat.

The evolution of growing cannabis here would indicate that at 20 your just getting interested . Between 20 and 30 your interest is starting to escalate . at 30 - 50 your at it full bore . At 60 -70 your interest is waning as you've done it all . Over 70 your lucky your still be standing upright . :woohoo:

I should have been growing when I was 15.

I think @Autotron sums up my story - tho I was teen my first grow attempt (I wouldn't say my parents encouraged it but it was tolerated to the point I could tuck them in at the back of the flowerbeds (yer photos outdoors in Scotland - ya teenage muppet). Quickly find out who your friends are tho, the two legged pests.

Now I'm over 50 and my medical problems are catching up - lots of wear n tear lol. Now my daughter seems to have inherited a more aggressive form and she's not long out of her teens). Legal or not we're not prepared to live a life of opiates when all we need is a bit of weed and a good nights sleep.

Hair fell out starting at 30. Back has been shot pretty much since about the same time. Have avoided getting overweight, but don't exercise as much as I should. Should have been dead a thousand times over, from dangerous hobbies, and bad decisions. Occasionally at the same time....
Dick still works, but I am married, so I just keep it in the fridge, next to the milk. I can always warm it up if needed...
All in all, not too bad for 46. Hell, I swore I'd never make 30. It's all bonus time, from here on out!
Regards, Kyle
