New Grower How much Light do i need????

Hello all you wonderful humans

So i am today on week 4 of my auto-flower grow(Amnesia Lemon). It is only one plant at the moment but i have just planted a second autoflower.

I have actually been taking her out in the day for some sunlight (i live in South Africa) and then when the sun goes down i take her inside and put her under a 250 Watt CFL 6400K bulb. She gets about 20 hours of combined light a day.
(The reason i do not permanently keep her outside is because it is almost our winter season and the days are much shorter) Our summers are perfect for outdoor grows as we have a very hot and long season.(September-April)

My question is how much light (if it is CFL) would i need per autoflower plant? I know CFL is not as powerful but am just wondering on how much i would need. I have a 60 Watt (true draw) full spectrum LED as well to add for flowering.

Do you think 250 watt CFL+60 WATT LED would be enough to get a good harvest from her? I will also keep putting her outside when we have nice sunny days(some days might be rainy due to our South African winter)

She is exactly 4 weeks old today and is grown in a homemade medium of Peat moss,Perlite,Vermiculite and compost. I also water/feed her every 3 days when her medium is dry with the Biozbizz nutrient range.(Half Strength)

I have also been doing LST training from about day 17/18 i think.What do you guys think about the LST?

Hello Alice420 ....I have read somewhere that the Minimum you want is 150w true draw.....and your plant looks ok to me.....well done...:smiley1:

Well it's supposed to be a 250 watt CFL as it states on the package but I'll test it incase I might be wrong. Will definitely add my 150(60true watt) LED for flowering.. Hope that would be enough until I upgrade

If that is all the watt you have got....lol....that rhymed....yeah im sure you will be fine.....welcome to a MASSIVE learning curve that it is the most amazing thing to ride.....I don't think I will ever learn it all but its truly a wonderful thing learning......the best thing you could be doing, you are already doing....which is growing.....I started with a few CFL bulbs and slowly upgrade.....it changes your game up with every one and you are in the right place

I have got the essentials such such lights with a reflector in a 3x3x6 box with input and output fans as well as a small fan for more air circulation inside. Now I can only add on as I go.

I love growing and as great as it is to have nice bud after I love the process just as much!

looks good to me a plant not getting enough light will be stretchy.
1st grow,you have a plant you gonna get buds.no need to spend much more untill you got something to smoke :smoking:
