Extraction how much lecithin

:pass: Get baked without baking your weed....

I don't mind so much but lots of people say they don't like the "roasted" flavor of decarbed weed. Lately I both decarb then infuse with the Sous-Vide machine. One bag, little less mess and smell, keeps some of the yummy terps. If it's that toasted taste you want to avoid, why not try Sous-Vide or the Ardent machine people are talking about?

Personally, I haven't had had oil that tasted that nasty, but I like the taste of cannabis. That's an added benefit to including some non-decarbed weed in my infusion, besides my main goal of getting broader spectrum cannabinoids.

Interesting, never thought about making a 1)3 of it not decarbed when making my oil.

Yeah. Dank'n'Delicious! I first started doing it with tinctures.
We know more and more about the entourage and the ---A acid forms, I want to take advantage of it.
Subjectively speaking, aside from the yummy-ness, I think it works better for me.

Sorry OP, didn't mean to hijack the thread...

Going to harvest my first grow. We plan on decarb and infusion with sous vide. Drop the sealed curing jar into zip lock then add coconut oil to jar to infuse. I think it will be easier, no smell and idiot proof for me lol. I love our souv vide for so many reasons. The reddit group has some good stuff on using a sous vide.

We are going to decarb then open it and add oil before sealing up and letting it finish. I hear coconut oil absorbs more thc from the higher concentration of fat. :shrug:i prefer it over butter so I want to try it

Sounds good, LL! Just a couple of thoughts about using jars:
I spread the weed out thinly in a vacuum bag, then seal it. This maximizes the surface area. I wonder if decarbing in a jar would take more time?
Things will expand, so you have to leave the lid open a bit to prevent the jar from exploding, so some smell will escape. Careful of your water levels also, to make sure no moisture gets in the jar.

Great tips thanks! There's a reddit group on using sous vide for decarb and such I just found.

Looks like I got more research to do. ❤❤ I'm a research junky.

And smell isn't really an issue. I was jousting less mess and handling if I didn't need to transfer it.

There are some others on AFN who use sous vide as well. I haven't seen the reddit group, I will go take a look. Thanks.

Yes, I like the fact that I can decarb, open the bag, add the oil, seal it and infuse all in the same bag. Less mess, less work, less waste and less smell for my neighbours.

Hmm...I haven't tried yet, but I could probably cook some veggies in a bag right beside my weed.
