Indoor How many small autos under 250w hps?

Hi,

My tent is empty

Wondering what the best use of my light will be.

I usually grow 3 at a time in 7.5 litre pots, however my tent could accommodate a larger light I'm worried about temps.

Will 2 plants in 11-15 litre pots typically yield better?

mine is 2x4x6 with 2 -- 150 hps sitting side by side-----does ok with 8 plants in 21/2 to 5 gallon pots--im sure more light the better but for only 300 watts total my plants look pretty good all small autos though

There are two schools of thought on this.

One is get the biggest pots you can and grow them to try and get the maximum bud off each plant. I so understand this especially if you want to take great pictures and win bud of the month. I viable way to go for sure.

I am in the other school of thought grow them wicked close together SOG style. Cut the bottom branches off and any branch that tries to get into the way of another plants tiny space. Low yield per plant but I get six plants in the space of others growing one. I get about 1/2 oz yields average.

The other way you may have the occasional plant that gets acouple of oz out of the tiny guys. I grow 69 plants in perpetual grow in 32 sq. feet of tank space. To grow in this style you have to pick plants that are more single pheno types. I think this style better suits hydro but I have seen amazing crops in party cups.

You have to try both styles to see which you like better.
