Grow Mediums How many plants should I put in my tent?

2 five gallon pots in that tent is probably already too big with a 600w light. If you do it right, that should yield a TON of pot.

When I wanted a variety of flavors, I would switch to 1g fabric pots and coco coir. Maybe 4 in that size?

Less is more!
Thanks man. I was just going by the saying 'the bigger the roots the bigger the fruits' I didn't take into account that I might have gone a wee bit overboard with them. Lol. Do you use fox farms nutes by chance? Been using the schedule posted on here but I think I might have caused a lockout because they are still pretty small and appear to be stunted. They dont look like they are growing much taller but I don't see any deficiencies.

I’ve tried many different nutrients but have had my best and easiest success with Greenleaf’s Megacrop and their additives sweet candy, bud explosion and kelp all in small amounts. Check their section out . I started with FF not bad but no where near complete or a deal. Just trying to pass on my lost time trying others.

I appreciate the heads up man. I'll definitely give them a try once the ff is gone. I've heard a lot of good and bad about ff, but what kills me is watching these vids on YouTube and they get a super huge plant in about 2 weeks. Here i am doing the same shit and I got these scrawny little twigs. Lol. Same genetics too. I'm using soil that is at a 7.0 ph but when I add the nutes it goes right to 6.5, so I know I got that right at least. Hahaha

The total number of plants depends on a) your growroom size, b) the strain you choose and c) the training method you will follow.
My tent is 90*90*160 cm. If I choose up to medium height strains, I go for SOG and although I have space for 10*4litre smart pots, I would use 9 and leave some space for heating, fans etc on the floor. Of I choose a tall stain, then I would either use LST and 4*7 or 9 litre smart pots, or two bigger pots and SCROG.
But basically you need to decide before you start the grow and design carefully your approach. When you decide just spread the runoff trays on the floor to verify how many plants will fit inside.

I recommend to always use all of the nutrients on the Vendors Schedule. They spend a lot of time and money making those products work together in balance. Take advantage of that. I would lower the strength (50% - 70%) though as many autos do not need full strength nutrients. Just be sure to reduce all of them by the same percentage.

As to your question about how many plants all answers are valid because it just depends on.......................................... well everything. Once you get a few grows under your belt you will understand better what you can do in your space.

I'm running bout the same size tent...only for bloom time...usually have 4-6 plants of staggered ages...all in 2-3 ltr pots.
Yep it still gets crowded sometimes but I love it...has provided quality meds for 14 yrs perpetually.
I still use a 600w led as a side light but it didn't do much by itself so I'd say you need more lighting. Led does good but you need a lot of it. My 600 only pulls 100w from the wall....
I like messing with things so I have an eclectic collection of cobs, QBs, and leds which I can adjust....gives me bout 45w per sq....does good.
As said above, do what you can handle and care for.

Automan2, With led you must take out of your mind the hps 600w concept and focus on the actual wattage. What matters is what the led has as luminous output at this actual wattage. Usually a 100w led really corresponds to a 300-400w hps approximately. I use a total of 300w led floodlights personally. At the beginning I also thought 100w will be enough but it proved otherwise. I don't say it doesn't produce enough but I sincerely suggest you add another 200w of led for this space. The result will.be explosive. The crucial part is to make sure that all these watts are not concentrated in one piece but split to 2 or 3 for a more even distribution. Having experimented with COBs and cob panels a lot I realised that although they handle.heat issues better and therefore last longer, it is better to use floodlights because their SMD chips are a lot brighter and much cheaper.
