Welcome to AFNThe time frames from the breeders are just an estimate. Many many factors can effect the speed at which a plant will ripen. The degree of ripeness for when to harvest is a personal choice.The trichomes are the best gauge for ripeness but the overall look of the plant and colas also tell a story.
When the trichome are nearly all cloudy the harvest window opens:
Some clear mostly all cloudy = a cerebral, racy high.
All cloudy with 20% amber = a balance mind/body high
All Cloudy with 40% amber = sleepy time/couch lock buzz
All Cloudy with 50% plus amber = over ripe. Yet some different cannabinoids that may be desirable will become more dominant.
