New Grower How I look at the yield

Zero to a pound in 70 days. Zygot, you and DIRT have definitely got the volume thing wired tight. I want to keep it really simple for a couple more grows, I've only finished one, but you guys make not doing TLO, look dumb. You've really raised the bar. :thumbs:

for my entire 72 day auto grow i harvested over 2lb (35oz), thats 980 grams. so 980grams divided by 72days is 13.62 grams grown per day!!! I always use this method when growing autos. I would love to compare it to a photo period grow and see where i stand. almost a 1/4oz a day is really good for a small room like mine

980/10= 98
98/72=1.361gm a day (thats is some Biomass) Anything above 1 gm a day is Rocking!!!

I think watts should be included in this calculation but im not sure how to add it to the equation. any ideas?

The formula I proposed is a measurement of a single plant performance it is used to compare one plant to another plant. {It is a breeders tool}

Watts per square foot is an “Input Quotation”

You would take (WPSF)

Watts per square foot (divide by) Yield per square foot = Yield per Watt

“Yield per Watt” is not very useful.

NOW if you take “Yield per Watt” and divide by the time it took (days)

This would be better to use than “Yield per Watt” it is not a good breeders tool IMO
