I live in AZ right now during the summer it's fucking hot it was 110° f the other day is that too hot for my plant to be outside or would it be fine? P.S it's gonna be over 103° f for this week :crying: ineed to knw thanks!

not sure but i keep hearing that its mostly about the roots, if you keep them cool enough the plant should be ok. could be wrong though, if youre in ground less of an issue, pots you could try and cool them with milk jugs from freezer etc/something easier.

It varies strain to strain BIG time.. 95-105F some die...and 105+ most other do or go into a self defense non growth pattern.

Fosho ithought the sun would burn them up O.o good to knw ima do my best to keep my roots moist not flooded to keep them cool I'm hoping it doesn't get too damn hot tho bro thanks for your two cents lol:buds:

I think bgrt has it totally right. I grow in a bubbly tank and shut down for July and August. The room just gets too hot. I have an air bubbly tank. I take the air from a refridgerator to hook up to the input of the air pump and it really helps to keep the tank water resonably cool. I have a friend who uses ice on top of his pots to cool them down on the hot days. Both of these techniques seem to work fine. Some people air condition their grow rooms.

So your saying just keep my roots cool as possible during really hot days ishould be in the clear right?? Sounds like the heat won't defeat me lol thanks

Get a strain that likes heat or keep them inside....

Smoke, As a teen, I grew pot in the west Texas desert in the very early seventies and 105 degree days were plentiful. As long as they had water and alittle breeeze, they did well. It was mostly mexican and it had to be Sativa as I never saw any Indica in those days. I bet that any of these new Sativa autos would do well. I would like to know if your more arid climate works well for cannabis cultivation.. I have indica and sativa autos growing outdoors now and we have seen close to 100 for several days and the girls are loving it. Last year we had days over 105 and I bet we do again this year. I would like to know how it turns out for you. I think that it will be good. :peace:
