I've typically used plant risers to keep my plants off the floor in my tent which sits in the basement on cement. Was curious what you guys use for your AutoPots to keep them off the floor, since the bases are a little awkwardly shaped and I've read that AutoPots need to be leveled.

Thanks.

I made a pallet for the tent. It's simple and easy to do. 2x4's on their side, and a 4x4 sheet of plywood.

I have boards along each edge to make a square, then add two cross braces underneath, spaced at 16 inches from the edge and each other.

Works a treat and never worry about that cold floor again.

You'll need to double check your res height again, as this will raise the entire tent about 4" from the floor.

If you have any home depot/lowes type shelves around that aren't in use or little use, I've set aside the posts and used just the shelve so there's airflow under my fabric pots. Gets a few inches above ground and sturdy without having to build anything.

Are you taking about the particle board that is used as shelves for those steel tier shelf's

I have this on my floor under the tent. Foam flooring mats they come in smaller sections that you jigsaw puzzle connect them or
at places like an animal feed store they sell the larger 4ft x 4ft rubber mats that are used in animal stalls.

I have used polyethylene foam, but the styrofoam insulation mentioned above would provide better insulation. If the thicker stuff isn't available, just use more layers. The price per volume of foam is likely pretty much identical. That jigsaw foam works well too. I think bought some of it at a big departments store, maybe Walfart, I can't remember. It is common anyway, and a couple layers of it would work fine too.

Re. leveling the autopots, you do not need to be fussy with the individual trays. If they look level they are good enough. If you use one autovalve to feed a larger area with multiple pots leveling becomes a bigger deal because high plants could get no water until the lower plants drink the downhill stuff.

Good luck with your grow. :pighug:

No but I don't see why it wouldn't work if you had only that laying around and didn't want to build anything or spend when it wasn't necessary. I had wire shelves that had no solid surface. It was just wire but did raise everything off the ground evenly and supported weight. I don't know how cold your basement floor is but insulation may not be needed if it's not in contact the floor.
