Harvested gorilla glue and left to dry upside down in closet for about 7 days. Branch snapped and outside felt dry. Closet was in mid 70s and passive dehumidifier in there with fan. Lost about 72% in water weight as well.

Trimmed it up using scissors and canna brush. Only processed two branches and scissors were pretty much stuck together. They didn't get this bad after my entire plant last time.

Anyways put in a bag and opened it a few minutes later and when I touched a bud it felt moist then I noticed they were all sticking to each other.

So how do I know if it's dry enough or not?

Smell is very strong even when not in a bag. Smells kind of like a concentrated pine smell.

I use hygrometers in the jars. I can't say from your description what is up for sure, but I suspect the buds are still wet. When brought to ~62%RH, mine never stuck together like you describe, and they were frosty.

Others here have lots more experience than I do, so judge accordingly. Good luck. :pighug:

Ok so I put hygrometer in 1oz grove bag with 1/2 oz of material. It read 62% originally but after a few minutes it's reading 60%. Here is pic when it was saying 61%. So I'll leave it like this for a bit and see what happens.

If you dried it for 7 days and then your scissors stuck and then it’s 62%? My friend I think you just have some sticky dank. The only thing that concerns me is the amount of weight that was lost. It should be more like 80% weight lost. After it being in the grow bag for a couple hours take a bud out and see if the stem still snaps

This morning when I checked them the small stem left on one didn't break. Two buds were stuck together too. Hygrometer is reading 59% now.
Doesn't smell like grass or hay, trimming it without ever being bagged and after being bagged just super pine concentrate type smell. Going to check hygrometer in little bit. Bags are supposed to regulate humidity so it's possible since I just put in hygrometer the bag is doing its job? After some time maybe it won't be able to keep up if it is still to wet.

Yes lol if the bag regulates humidity then the hygrometer isn’t telling you what you need to know. Put them in an airtight container with the Hygrometer and you will see it rise. I am guessin it is still got moisture. Especially if the stem didn’t break

It's supposed to regulate it to 62% but you're right, I'll give it another 20 minutes or so in bag to see what happens then move it to a jar and compare.

Been almost in hour in jar now. Hygrometer reading 73 degrees with 62% RH

i think ya got it pretty spot on.my weed going into the jars prior to burping feels dry,but a bit tacky sometimes.if they stick together to much i take em out and place on dry sift screens.otherwise i just burp for 15-30 mins a day for 3-7 days.
62% is an ideal number that scientists have come up with.....boveda make 52% upto 82% ish cigar smokers seem to prefare the 58% and theres personal preference to,some folk like fresh ish weed taste, while others prefare bone dry crumbly weed.
aim for perfect, but sometimes close enough does the job :pass:
good luck n keep er lit
:pighug:

I just switched back to the Grove bag that is supposed to eliminate the need for burping. I'll make sure to keep eye on RH and see how it does.
