How Can I Improve Thickness amd Density in My Buds

thanks for ur help sound good and make sense im also trying new things expermenting as u saw in my pic i have one thats been topped i have one thats been lst and i have 2 that just no top no lst nothing genetic is big difference im thinking it plays a big role
I never top, but I forgot to mention training techniques. I always LST. From around three weeks. I have lstd very early and eeen others doing it. But from my experience it’s best to wait until it’s around three weeks. Try to keep all the branches growing evenly. This way each branch receives the same amount of light. Also, I’d use coco coir. Since I started using that I yield on avg 6oz per plant in a 2x4

Yeah, I'm looking into trying coco myself.

just planin on doing that on one plant tho see where things go

because it was really bushy and i was in early flower phase and it really worked with a week nugs start to fatten and getting bigger u gotta no how to do it im guessing is the important to not to stress the plant happy growing friend

OK - I hear "lollipop" and I think severe defoliation just for the sake if it. I am not slamming defoliation (I do it quite a bit depending on the grow) but have had better success when conservatively applied. IMHO, YMMV. etc.

i defoliated her twice but without stressing in depends on genetics honestly gsc is strong genetic some plants deff different some cant handle stress at all

i defoileted last week lolipooped her and she back with more leaves should i defiliate again or let her ride shes been defoileted 2 times allready
Personally I like removing the branches on the lower third of plant. Gets rid of popcorn buds. And i only defoliate when fan leaves are blocking a prime bud site. I usually do it once a week or so. And stop if I dont need to.

I honestly think it depends on the strain and how the plant is growing when it comes to defoliation.

I have 2 plants going right now that I've had to chop the hell out of a few times and they keep coming back with more. I've never chopped this much off a plant before lol

If they are too bushy, hack some off and see how the plant responds. You should be able to tell within a week or so if its gonna be 70s full bush mode.

I would have mentioned genetics. But when I started, I started with some bag seed photos. Wasn't the best quality on Earth, but I got some chonkers. Then I started looking around for reasonably priced seeds from people that had a decent reputation. And got really good results. As I learned more, then I started expanding more into the hype train. And getting even better results in some cases. So as people mentioned it's a combo of things. But I do always come back to light.

So I'm always hesitant to say "genetics" because I don't want to imply that someone newer go out and drop hundreds of $$$ on whatever is being hyped. I don't mean "hyped" necessarily as a negative either. Mephisto is fantastic for instance, but hyped, and deservedly so. There are a number of reputable breeders out there with good genetics at lower cost. I would recommend some of them as you learn what works. Dunno if that makes sense. But...when I began my journey with autos, I was looking more for $5-$8 seeds rather than $15 seeds. Wasn't because I was cheap, I just didn't want to frustrate myself with uber high expectations. I know SO many people who drop $50 on a pack of Night Owl in the beginning and are so deflated when they're not pulling a pound off the plant.

I pretty much top, lst, defoliate, minor lollipop everything. But the reason I do that is based on...light.
