Hello dear community,
I have 2 fully grown plants which both have begun to flower already, since they sit on my balcony due to lacking indoor space they are pretty vulnerable to all of those potential pests around. They had no problem so far and grew fine. Today I noticed few flies sitting on the top leaves of both plants. Looked like house flies to me. Can I do anything about this despite dragging them indoors? Are these flies even dangerous to these mature plants? I heard they are very dangerous to young plants but I am really unsure on what to do right now. I pulled them inside for now since I am gone for the rest of the day and sun is setting anyway. Any kind of help is greatly appreciated.
By the way: I try to get a clear shot of those flies to attach to this thread later today. It clearly looked like regular house flies and not like fungus gnats or something.

The only concern with house flies is hygienic. Just wash your plant in Lemon Juice and Baking Soda rinse well and dry as normal when you harvest.

I will definetly do that! I already planned it anyway because we have a shitload of canola pollen floating around which tend to land on their leaves and buds so a thorough wash is unavoidable anyway.
Thank you for easing my mind a little.

Another potential problem just occured to me, the tips of the younger plants pistils are turning orange-ish. Isn't this a sign of pollination? Could it be something else?

Good chance with moving them around you touched them or they brushed up against something.....it will do that to them

Yes I moved them a lot for the last two days. I was pretty sure that there are no male plants of any kind even remotely close. Does it any harm to them if they change color due to moving them?

Not that I've noticed so far.

Sorry to bother you again, but I am pretty certain that something like fungus gnats now started to infest the older plant. I have 5 plants in total on that balcony. 3 that just have like 4 true leaves and two that are in full flower. If you closely look at the soil of one plant you see like two or three small black flies hopping around. The plant most likely has like 3 weeks or so until potential harvest. Should I treat the soil with neem oil or is it enough to let the soil dry out between watering? The infestation cannot be progressed that far since the flies only started showing yesterday. Other 4 plants do not show flies around soil aswell.

A thin layer of diatomaceous earth over the soil will help thwart them. It cuts them with its micro edges.

You can also put out dishes of apple cider vinegar with a little dish soap. Bugs love it, and the soap reduces the surface tension so they drown.
