I'm used to forums. They were my bread and butter for quite a few years in the automotive performance world. Made a lot on them, but what a damn pain as a vendor in most. So glad that crap is no more. Breaks and lunch were filled with working the forums and tried to clean up after the shop work day was over. It helped when I opened my store, but that added its own set of problems to solve, but at least that wasn't a daily ritual.
It was fun for the most part. I got to do and see some really crazy stuff! But it's fast-paced as hell, if you want to succeed. Burnout can be a big problem! I miss a lot of it............... It's a toss up between
really hot sex and driving a high 6sec street car at the strip.
There's a TON of crap that I don't miss! LOL!

TRYING to help customers spend their money WISELY and NOT to cheap out now, when you know you will eventually get to that level fairly soon.......double or triple the labor ..........or they want to do the work in the wrong order.

PS........I'm glad I'm not dealing with what the DAMN EPA is doing to the small performance shops now! They are fining the little guy for just SELLING certain performance parts.........even drop shipping where they don't even touch the part. But as bad as that is, they are doing NOTHING to the big companies that manufactured the part! This is purely a bureaucratic maneuver where they have changed the interpretation of the law. It started under Trump, but it has
expanded immensely under Biden.
The part doesn't have to
adversely affect emissions either. From what I've seen, if it's not bone stock, it's suspect to fines.
You gearheads need to contact your senators and Rep about this bullshit.
You Cali guys. I have no idea how this affects Cali's certification program. By what I've seen, it's possible that a shop could get fined for selling a Cali certed part. Not good!
