What is your EC at right now?

Just checked the res EC and it's 1.7 m8.. too high for these girls I think.. as for ph I haven't got a proper pen yet.. payday today tho and that's first on the list! I did buy a cheap one.. but I don't trust it lol

When I get home tonight I'll flush and give them a fresh res of nutes at a lower EC.

Takes a bit of getting used to checking and adjusting and repeating.. when you've been used to soil.. mix it chuck it in walk away but I'm determined to get this on point cuz i love the yields and i love the buds already.. I need to commit to regular ph and ec checking and i think set 1 day a week for a full res change.. i havent been doing that so i suppose u only get out what u put in.. pardon the pun

A couple pieces of quality measuring equipment and a kick up the arse for me too move me out of 'aye they're fine' soil mode and we'll be there. Need to try and save these 3 first though.. again lol

It looks like you already know the solution to the outcome of you're experiment mate apply that and you may have eliminated most if not all you're wee problems.

Morning Hope - hope all is well!
Just a quickie, as you say you have frazzled them a bit, it is no drama in cubes, a flush with a mild mix and back to normal at a lower EC. Flushing with plain water in my mind confuses the plant as one day it has food the other day it can't find any etc...a lower dose washed through until the EC in and out match and you can be safe in the knowledge you have removed all unwanted salts - maybe as they are F&D whilst cleaning the salts out do some top watering just to make sure you remove all excess.
Good shout on a PH pen - the ability to test accurately and regularly is ever so important - it becomes religious, wake up, tea and doobie, check PH and EC, then get up for the day

Thanks m8.. always appreciate the advice tell me this.. the bluelab truncheon.. is it just handier for sticking into a res than their 'normal' EC pen.. is that the point of the truncheon?? I think that's gonna be the next purchase after the ph pen.. just wondering why they have the pen style one and the truncheon.

I've got the truncheon and have had it over 5 years and I bought it used and I use it when I make my 40 litres feed up and I love it as I can stir the nutes in also I own the blue lab combi meter I use in my res but the stick is brilliant bro and with bluelab it's a case of buy once lasts forever as I used cheap crap ones when I first started

So.. new tray ordered today...went for the 60x60cm.. itll be OK.. I've measured.. plant placement n all that lol bluelab ph pen to be picked up in person tomorrow.. no delivery time.. step drill bit is here.. a bag of croutons and im set for the next grow.. what strain will it be?

The 3 block plants have been flushed form the top with 1.0EC mix until it came out at 1.0 the other end.. 10L between 2 hugos and a 4x5 in h block.. first readings after 1L each in and the EC out was 2.5 now just waiting for the trusty apprentice to get dafuq outta the bath so I can clean my reservoir

Set my new res last night at 1.2EC.. 2 floods later and its at 1.7!!! Wtf.. @Zaaboot @420autoflower any idea why my EC woild have risen so sharply after 12 hours/2 floods from a new res?? I'm baffled!

Temps were over 30 all night.. am I losing water to evaporation and thats leaving a higher concentration of salts behind maybe??
