With my next crop I’m planning on doing a heavy defoliation when the plants first start flowering and also hit them with as much light as I can to hopefully avoid so much stretching. With such dense canopies its possible that the lower part of the plants are lacking light causing them to elongate more than they should.

That would work great dude.
Should be able to grow some nice sized plants with that set up. Have you weighed out the cost yet per container for the 4 inch block and the croutons you would need for your airpots? I would assume you would use 1 gallon containers.

I'd be using the 3L airpots.. so a bit under a gallon.. the cost is so little bro.. the 4x3 inch blocks were 50p and the 3x3 inch 35p.. got 10 blocks and 12 starter plugs for £5/$6 the cubes I couldn't quantify but they are very cheap indeed given how far they stretch.. the 3L airpot set up would be no more than £1 per pot and likely less.

I'm really taken with somehiguys 2 daily feeds from day 1.. and he hammers that point.. so that's what I'm gonna try to replicate with blocks cubes and airpots.. I really do think I should only do 4 tho.. If they grow like they should im sure 4 will fill my tent.. all that said I may go blocks on blocks or pick up some hugos..

Also I was thinking a safety net of a few soil plants as well.. or do I just go right at it shit or bust all grodan.. thinking out loud now just.. Still lots to be considered

Wow bro… you’re really getting into this. Do you have a local store that sells Grodan or do you have to buy your rock wool online?

Yea local place m8.. only maybe 2/3 miles away.. i actually have 3 hydro stores in a 3 mile radius.. in a non legal country.. and ones a huge warehouse lol.. go figure.. only this one had grodan.. the others had cultilene brand rockwool.

its been a long wait, but the results could be "interesting"
I was already impressed with the growth pattern, especially with the lower 50% of each plant.

I'm in just to limit how long it takes me to trim. It's already half done.
