Hey capt, how far are you keeping your light from the canopy?

I raised it to 20 inches from the top of the 2 tallest big bangs. They are 16 and 15.5 inches tall at day 29. The Blue Mystics are between 8-12 inches tall. So 24-28 from the Blues. My first run of the Bangs I had 2 that were taller phenos like these 2 and they pulled me around 50 grams each under a 400 son Agro. I know have a 600 hortilux and my 2 big ones are growing at the same rate as my 2 monsters of the first run so I'm hoping to pull around the same. I'm trying to stretch the blues some there nodes are really tight. 3-4 of the Blues have inter nodes that have grown up through the fan leaves and are passing the main cola in height. They're 10 inches tall and their nodes are about a half inch apart. I'm hoping that raising the light will get them to stretch out some more. They're really squat man it's vicious. I'll take some close up shots tomorrow so you can see these inter branches that are coming up through and to the top of the plants. Really really bushy. I did a little tucking when I was there today so they can get some more light in there. The lower ones are blocked because of how squat and dense they are.

Sweet man, I normally keep mine about 10" from my bigger plant wich makes it about 18 from my sprouts. Tonight its going to be cold so I turned my fan down and lowered the light a little. I havent had any heat probs from this setup. Your plants are lookin great man.

Thanks. Yea I kept it As low as I had my 400 in the beginning plus it snowed here in October to keep them warm and had some of the leaves on a few plants start canoeing from heat stress. I raised it to around 18
Inches and new growth seemed ok from there on out. Everything has been ok but I really want to get these mystics to stretch a little. Need some more space for bud growth. Getting to tight in there. The 2 bigger Bangs are fine they're gonna be great. I just want to maximize the growth/yield as best I can on the shorter mystics. I started 8 seeds all 8 germed and all were female. It doesn't look like any will need to be pulled as of now. So as
Long as I have no hermie issues or any late issues for that matter I'm hoping to be able to harvest all 8. Should be an interesting new year for me I hope. We shall see.

Day 30

Booming growth ladies and gentleman. Sorry I lied when I said 16 inches. Picks with tape measure again. Didn't expect over 4 inches in less then 48 hours. Some stem shots, Inter node branching passing main cola on the blue mystics and Big Bangs are getting BIG. All blue mystics have got a burpee feeding of 110 ppm 0-15-11. Big bangs are still receiving monster grow at 1/4 strength. We got our first pics of some nice bud sites and inter nodes. Roots are loving these feeding of the bubbled zero water and the top of the soil shows. Hope you guys enjoy.

Thanks Griever. Not gonna lie. Your grow gave me the idea for some of the POV shots I like the one where you can see the under side of the fan leaf. Kind of like an upwards angle looking up at the plant. I seriously measured 2 days ago and was at 15.5 and 16 on the 2 Biggest Big Bangs. That's why i said that yesterday in my post. I didn't measure as much my last grow of Big Bangs cause I didnt do a journal on it here. I remember pulling an inch a day around this time but seeing them go from 15.5- 19.5 and 16- over 20 in less then 2 days was kind of shocking to me. Maybe they did last time to and I just wasn't measuring who knows but I noticed alot of growth soon as I walked in the room. This is my 1st grow with Blue Mystic. I've done some searching and can't even find out genetics. A few people have said Blueberry x skunk 1 but that's just word of mouth. Is anyone familIar with the strain here?
The smell is absolutely amazing. They're def giving off a skunky/skittles aroma.

Figured I would share this. Made some ice hash with my own little method I have been using for years. Here's a little pic of what I'm about to relax on. My backs killing me. Was made with some 2 month old Blue Cheese little pop corn buds and sugar bud leaf trimmings from my photo outdoor grow this summer. Pics of plant in my album. Going to be a fun ride. Til next time. Thanks truu I can def see a difference in the switch from 400 son Agro to the 600 hortilux. They're more bushier and condensed. I'm hoping the yield improves as well. I + rep'd ya earlier.
