Critical Jack
Hi guys I'm having a problem keeping humidity down in flower I have 3 weeks to go growimg Critical Jack by Dinafem which they say has high resistance to humidity and mold.

My temps are around 80-84f lights on using cob led in a 4x2 ft tent and 3.5gal airpot with an ac infinity extractor fan and 2 ram circulation fans so plenty of air movement. The plants appear very happy and humidity is between 60-70% lights on and stays the same lights out. The weather is unusually humid for the time of year and looks like it will stay this way for the next week.

There is no moisture on leaves and I am thinking of changing to giving 1.5 l feed every 1.5 days instead of 3 l every 3 days to reduce the amount of moisture.

Is there any other reason other than mold why you should have humidity between 40-50 rh late flower?

Also where is the best place to hang probe that reads humidity?

Both plants are like below buds aren't super fat so I assume mold shouldn't be an issue but just want to get some opinions.

Overly high rH slows the normal transpiration in flower, causing the plant to eat less and grow less as well. This would be my number 1 reason. Mold is a big reason too, and just cause your not seeing moisture on the leaves doesn't mean it's not going to be an issue, so wide open eyes... I become concerned above 50%... the issue start deep down in the flower, by the time you've seen it, that nug at least is a loss.

For future reference, there is a product called rotblock, out of Canada, it works, but needs to be used from flowering onset. I ran a test on it last fall in what I would term "silly" rH numbers for flower... 70% buds were fluffy but not a hint of mold.

Probe should be at the height of your canopy.

Great man thanks its impossible to keep the humidity down with this humid weather were having here I have the tent open and window also but the outdoor humidity is probably around 70 so doesn't really help things at all.

I have a small dehumidifier I have popped in see what happens hopefully it will bring it down some it has a little green led light on it i assume this won't cause any problems i have the green light covered as much as possible but still a little glow from it?

You should be fine with the light covered.

Watch the leaves closely, and no pruning, unless the leaf attaches where there isn't any bud around...

Leaves will kinda turn an odd brownish grey and kinda wilt... you ever see a movie where someone sucks the life force out of someone? They kinda shrivel? Looks like that kinda.. . It's not a typical look at all... you see it, poke around in the bud it goes into and get ready to cut that nug off if you see anything that's not green and healthy. Lots of us here have seen it a lot, so if you see something, post a pic and shout out!

Cool man thanks fingers crossed the weather goes back to typical old irish weather and humidity goes away.. its a catch 22 situation because on one hand we don't get too much nice warm weather so I do enjoy it buy on the other id like it to go away so I have lots of lovely bud :smoking:

Seems to be an odd year... am in the other side of the world, and it's been unusually cool this summer, many if not most days are 20 degrees lower than normal.
Just keep your eyes on it, and check anything that looks different. Your strains will hopefully be as advertised and strong in the mold resistant area!

Yeah I think that the world basically stopping for a few months may have something to do with the weather being quite different this year. I will keep an eye out and do what I can to get the rh down.

I would be fairly confident in dinafem every review I've read about them highly recommends them and said their genetics are very good so will keep fingers crossed

I have managed to get it down a little ill be happy if I can keep it under 60%... you can see the reading from the little hygrometers is 55% and the reading from probe on fan is 61% which is what I was going off so humidity hasn't been as high as I thought thankfully.

One other thing I'm wondering is it any harm to be giving say 1l of water every day instead of saturating the soil every 2-3 days as this will keep the humidity lower?
