Live Stoner Chat Hi everyone, newbie grower here. Would like some help/advice :)

Thought I might jump in here..If you want a good great start..go light on your soil..You need at least 30-45 days to let the soil sit mixed and add Myco hurds..You could do a hole grow with a Light soil mix..Epsom salt, black strap molasses, some extreme gardener mycos, and a compost tea..that would be the most simple way..but also me and allot of others use..sea grow nutes from plants that produce..its really really cheep and you only need the veg, bloom, and a cal mag..lots of the vets use it here:smokebuds::styles rasta:

I can see white little tips coming out from my seed already, should i wait till i see the whole root coming out before planting into the soil ? Should i wet the soil first before planting or should i plant first and then put 200ml around the soil? Thanks for all the people helping and giving advices.

I'm confused about the watering part because i asked a friend of mine and he said that what he do is just put the germinated seed into the pot and then water it with 200ml and after 2-3 days water another 200ml till it's adult and then 200ml everyday. He said he didn't fill the soil with water before planting the seed. There are different kind of advices given to me so i'm really puzzled..

You'll find lots of different growers have different methods of starting off. I like to water my full pot to begin with as I know it will remain heavy (with water in) for a good while. I only water 40ml every 2 days, but that keeps a little bit of water around the delicate (and still small roots), at the same time while after that water is gone, the tap root continues it's search down to find more water.

(this is all by my reckoning - i have no science to support this)
I've used this method for nearly all of my grows and don't suffer from under or over watering symptoms. I'm not saying it's the ultimate method, but it's always worked for me.

Hope this clears up some confusion :)
All the best

Thank you both for answering my question. I guess both methods work right ? But my compost has nutrients in it, if i were to water it before planting will my seedling get excess nutrients ? And also how should i should just flush the whole pot of soil with 30 litres of water since my pot is 10 litre ? I'm still deciding which method i should work on.
