Hi guys, my name is Nigel. Nice to know there is such a nice community with helpful people. I am completely new to autoflower growing, infact i don't even have experience with growing any plants but because i love the herb, i decided to grow my own. I have ordered some seeds online and they are probably coming today and i plan to buy J Arthur Bower's Multi-Purpose Compost with added John Innes (50 L) tomorrow. I have a few questions to ask and hopefully they can be answered as i am completely new to this.

1 - Is J Arthur Bower's Multi-Purpose Compost with added John Innes okay for my autoflowers ? I plan to put the seedling straight to the final pot that is filled with it.

2 - I am gonna germinate the seed by putting it in a glass of water and leaving it in my room (on my table) till it sprouts. There might be some sunlight but it won't shine directly on the glass of water and the temperature here ranges from 30c-33c and humidity is 61-64% in the morning-afternoon. Will that affect the germination process?

3 - If all is well, i'm gonna plant the seed straight into the final pot (10L). I don't plan to transplant because i'm really new to this and i have read alot about transplanting for autoflowers ain't good. (Sorry similar to question 1)

4 - I'm growing on my balcony/window(I can't afford to grow indoor). Do i put the pot straight there after i plant the seed or do i leave it in my room? Is it able to take sunlight immediately ?

5 - How much water should i feed it after planting the seed and i have no idea how much water to feed throughout the growing process till harvest.

6 - Since i plan to buy JAB's Multi-Purpose Compost with added JI tomorrow, i'm gonna buy the 10 L pot (probably 2) and also should i buy nutes ? Maybe like for blooming or vege ?

That's all the questions i have for now. I'm sorry for the bombarding of questions but i really wish for my plants to be healthy and not die on me especially since i have a very low budget and i spent almost all my food allowance on the seeds, soil, pots and maybe nutes. I might do a grow journal too! Peace my friends. :peace:

For the price of the john inns get your self a bag of bio bizz light mix its about £10 for 50l. It has nothing in it at all and will help you gain the experience of using nutes and you carnt realy go wrong..

Secondly DO Not leave your seeds in water till they sprout it is not the best way mate ive done it loads to see what way wors best and it always took alot longer to crack and total germ time was over a week.

Before you sow the seed in the pot water the pot around where the seed will be then sow seed and cover lightly with dam soil. The nutes depend on what soil you use bro. Like i said before bio bizz light mix is a great soil to start with its very basic good for drainage and keep PH on track if used with bio bizz products. You could even just start with either bio bizz fish mix (start to finesh) or use there grow and bloom till you get a hand on things then add more in as you go along this is how i started last year and im still adding thngs in all the time:D:

Check out my bio bizz thread https://www.autoflower.org/f89/bio-bizz-knowledge-base-21587.html

Fine..one of the Best compos...:check:

2 - I am gonna germinate the seed by putting it in a glass of water and
leaving it in my room (on my table) till it sprouts. There might be some

Seeds don't need Light to germinate..just warmth..so they should be okay..:check:

3 - If all is well, i'm gonna plant the seed straight into the final pot (10L).
I don't plan to transplant because i'm really new to this and i have read alot
about transplanting for autoflowers ain't good. (Sorry similar to question
1)

Perfect.....:check:
4 - I'm growing on my balcony/window(I can't afford to grow indoor). Do i put
the pot straight there after i plant the seed or do i leave it in my room? Is it
able to take sunlight immediately ?

It Need sunlight Immediately.
Especially in the reduced amount your will provide...:check:
If you are Eurpoean..you will have a hard job raising a plant with natural sunlight at this time of year.

5 - How much water should i feed it after planting the seed and i have no idea
how much water to feed throughout the growing process till harvest.

It Really depends on the Heat that you have them in.

6 - Since i plan to buy JAB's Multi-Purpose Compost with added JI tomorrow, i'm
gonna buy the 10 L pot (probably 2) and also should i buy nutes ? Maybe like for
blooming or vege ?

The compost should sustain it until it reaches sex.
If you were under lights you would probably have to add additional ferts them..but on natural daylight..the growth rate may not require it.

Set yourself a grow diary up in the New Growers section and you will get all the Help you Need as you go along..:tiphat:

Welcome fella!:tiphat: You should be okay with that compost(I would mix a few handfuls of perlite in with it myself). You wont need to feed any nutes, for a couple of three weeks. Go easy on the watering till your seedlings get established and have fun! :peace:

Welcome good sir. You should start a grow journal. I'm new here also, and everyone here is really friendly. Not to mention most of them know their stuff.
