Hey everybody! Long time creeper, first time poster. I'm planning on setting up a grow log once I get all my equipment- but for now I just wanted to introduce myself. This will be my 5th grow, 4 of which being autoflowers. Almost all in ghetto stealth CFL cabs lol.
So anyway, I'm finally moving on up to a grow tent and I'm extremely exited! It fits perfectly inside my closet.
I'm getting an Apollo 36x20x62 tent,
iPower 4" fan & carbon filter setup, and 2 MarsHydro300 white LEDs (280 total actual).
I've been torn between going with soil as I've always done, or trying a Hempy or autopot, but I think I'm more comfortable sticking with what I know while I dial in the tent for the first time. (Plus I think it might be cheaper)
Planning on following FD's soil mixture, or using
OF, and using FD's trio feeding schedule. 2x 5 gallon pots, (I read his tiered transplant methods, but I've always thought any transplant would really mess with autos?). This is also my first time really taking nutes seriously, and picking up a soil test kit. I'm also planning on using an aquarium airstone to oxygenate my water.
I was also wondering, we've moved to a place with a well that has very iron rich hard water. What sort of special precautions or techniques should I use regarding the water? Or should I just do Bottled only? We have a water softener/iron out system on the well- but I don't know if that would just mess with them more. It uses some kind of crystals, almost like salt. If I use bottled I will still need to Ph Balance, correct?
I'd love any criticism or feedback on my plans and equipment! I know the Mars aren't the best lights in the world, but I'm on a bit of a budget

Oh BTW, I'll be using Dinafem auto White Widow, Dutch Passion Auto Blueberry, and Sweet Seeds Dark Devil. I'll probably be doing one blueberry and one Dark Devil on the first go around! I love those strains soooo much.
