Hey, I'm making the switch to afn due to the 'sketchy' server issue riu had a couple months ago which deleted more than half of my heavily updated cinderella 99 thread.
I have been a lurker to afn for a while and just now thought I would share because I am making the move to only using autoflowering plants.
I currently have an ongoing grow (my 5th grow) with 3 autos. (2x Samsara flash babylon, 1x Auto purple cheese). The plants are on week 1 of flowering. I started germing 3 more seeds which are (2x purple ryder, 1x Royal queen auto northern lights). My setup is perpetual. 3x2x1 vegging cab, 5x3x2 flowering tent.
I have 5 more auto fem seeds on the way which are Buddha Purple Kush.
I will be doing my first breeding seed run by using colloidal silver for auto fem seeds. Thinking of crossing Purple Ryder x Purple Kush or northern lights. Maybe both.
My lighting for flowering is:
2x 180w pro-grow LED from hydro hut
1x 110w t5 PLL-55 from htgsupply
6x 42w 2700k CFL's (3x on a hanging socket with Y-adapters)
Medium:
80% coco, 20% perlite
2 gallon smart pots
Nutes:
Botanicare PBP line
Oregonism XL
Oxygenated freshwater aquarium water (beneficial micro-organisms)
Molasses
Here are shots from my first ghetto ass rubbermaid grow that I had up on riu. The strain is Auto Samsara supersonic Cristal Storm. My final yield from one plant in a 2.4 gal airpot was 55 dry. This was only grown with CFL's.
I'm here to learn and share alike. I will start a grow journal soon with pictures of my entire setup. Waiting for the delivery dude to drop off my pro grow led's.. Stay high!
