Yeah you can grow some really nice bud with cfls. I got two 42 Watt and two 30 Watt, two soft white and two daylight. Target had the 150 Watt equivalent, depot had the other ones but I did get a bad one which I exchanged for another.The GE ones seem a bit better made but all are working fine. I got a question about the one I grew from bagseed, buds are about 50/50 red/white hair.I don't have a magnifying glass so just going by eye. Somewhat frosty bud, fan leaves are turning color and starting to droop. I already flushed, just seems like more whites hairs are still coming through..More red is a couch like stone while more white is a heady high right..Anyways I think it's ready to cut down.Is it better to leave it sit for 2 days in darkness to increase resin production. It's about 4ft..Is this setup good for two short ryders..I guess if I need a few more cfl's that are stronger I think the pet store had some but expensive. Maybe online is a better choice.Thanks for the feedback.This place is great and addictive, my girls like ..I never saw you read so much..lol. Great reading. If you don't have a scope to check the trichs.. I suppose the best way to do it is wait until the pistles are about 50% red like yu have.. and then look for the fan leaves having their nutes used-up.. and then maybe just keep an eye until you see the white sheen over the buds start turning a golden colour. Once you see a gold tinge that means the trichs are starting to turn amber which is when most people harvest. Personally I like early harvested weed because the high really suits my brain chemistry and I can still get up and do things.

Lately I've been trying the method of leaving them in 24hrs of dark before chopping and it does SEEM to be producing a lot more crystal.

Main thing is that you've done the business and grown yourself some lovely drugs so kudos and happy learning.. which you'll do a lot of here

Thanks everyone..Yeah what a great hobby for me, relaxes me, learning a lot of interesting info,keeps me busy,and in the end enjoy the fruits of my labor. Not to mention meeting and talking to some cool people here.
