Alright so i always got that a hermie plant was different then a reversed female. If a plant hermies do not use the pollen cause this will result in the seeds hermie when grown. Now some one is telling me that a female that hermies is the same thing as reversing her is this true? He said its also the same when the life is coming to the end cycle she will pollinate her self. I know that she will grow some bannas when nearing end but these things are different than a actually hermie, right?

whoever told you that is an idiot and you shouldn't listen to anything they say. A plant with herm genetics is xxy a reversed female is just xx. The cs simply blocks the production of the female hormone so it grows male flowers but still has only female genetics.

Xx + xx = xx

Xxy + xx = xxy xy & xx

Hope that helps

Second that nice explanation Evol couldnt say it better. I think People should remember Schooldays and the Teachings of Mendel in Biology courses, then they would start to understand.

Thanks Evol. I knew that what he was saying was wrong i just couldn't explain it to him. he kept ranting on about all types of non sense.

Thanks Evol, I don't know why that was never so clear in my head.

Evol does female clusters look like male clusters in appearance? I will be trying to fem some seeds shortly and would like to be sure everything looks right

Males and females look noticably different. There are many pics of males/females on site for you to check out.

Not to Hijack the thread but if you are reversing a photo and say there is a light leak. Is there any way to know if the pollen you're collecting is due to the reversal or from the herming?

Nope no way to know for sure...dont let that happen. You want the plant you are reversing to be as stress free as possible.
Photos should be stress tested before reversing and any plants that herm easily should not be used anyway.

Evol does the plant being pollinated also carry other genetics or will they all come out like the mother? At the moment i'm about to try it on one clones then pollinate another clone from the same plant. So will they carry genetics for other phenos.
