Many new growers (and I was one of them and still wanting more clarification) are sometimes confused about what a hermie flower including the notorious new growth under the canopy hermie looks like. Also, identifying what a hermie banana looks like on a big bud is helpful. Sometimes a few foxtails (irregular bud growth) look somewhat similar to male flowers. So, I culled a few photos for ref. First pic is bananas on large bud, next a male flower on lower bud and last big time foxtailing. Below photos is a good article from Dutch Passion site.
