New Grower Here I go again...2nd go around

Well my 1st grow is nearing the end and summer is coming fast.So I decided to start my 2nd grow before the weather gets too warm for indoors..I had a few kickups on my first,but seems to please me to this point..I reset my 2nd tent this morning and planning to start my new gal's today..This is my plan and setup..Feel free to comment,good or bad.I've got strong shoulders..And a weak mind..:Brain Fog..:

2---Auto Purple Amnesia - Feminized
2---AutoBlackberry Kush - Feminized

4'x4'x80" tent
6"duct fan and carbon filter exhaust
4" duct fan intake
12" osilating fan to move the inside air
3 gallon smart pots
Fox Farm happy Frog cut with perlite ( 3 parts HF/1 part perlite)
Starting off with 10 40 watt cfl's (28,000 lums) in 5000K... When my 8 bulb T5 light is free from my 1st grow,I'll be using it instead. 50,000 lums in 5000k and 3000k
20/4 lighting
Feed.. when time will be Fox Farm nutes and cal/mag
PH meter for soil and paper test strips for the water

so... 3 gallon pots are all autos need or is that more of a growers choice or strain specific?

I started with 5 gallon, and scaled my way back to 3 gallons as time went on. I personally haven't seen a difference in Yield at all.

Mind you, I was new to AFN when I grew in the 5 gallon pots, so there's a good chance I just didn't have the skills to grow more bud at the time

Howdy ..

As for the pot size Hapa..I was confused myself..My 1st grow I used 3 gal waste cans and the gals seem to be loving them.So I thought I'd try the Smart Pots..To my surprise the 3 gallon in them are even smaller.I put a post up asking just why..I come to find out they are something called trade gallon not really a true gallon..But I bought them so I'm going to try them..As opi said..I found that most of the folk on AFN that farm in soil are using the 3 gallon size...

Well the beans are tucked in for the long ride..Nice warm damp blankie and the lights are out..Hopefully in a day or so I'll lave LIFE...:dance2:

Well..Beads showed some life after just 36 hours in the damp towel..So this evening i placed them in their new home till harvest day..I hope that they enjoy the mix and smart pots I picked for them...

Fabric will be much better at allowing the roots to breathe so I'd go with that.

Day Nine..

Howdy all..Just a quick update..The new gal's are looking fine.But I think they are a bit slow to start..But I gave them thier first feeding of nutes today.Just some cal/mag and Big Bloom at the chart shows..And yes full dose..

as cappy said I would definitely have chosen (and use them presently) the fabric pots as well, I even like that you have to water more often as I think of that as an opportunity to feed them more often as well. Between all the fans I have going and the a/c, I have to water every few days at least. I try to never stress them (at all) with feedings or water so I stay up on that!

And thank you for sharing your babies with us I luv it, you know I do!

May I ask where you acquired your beans? Since Attitude no longer takes credit cards, and I seem to be inept at figuring out Bitcoin (seriously a mental block about it, they lost me on the "your info. could be hacked" part), I don't really know where to turn. Herbies lost an order of mine (reimbursed but that's not really the point, right?) so I know not where to turn.

Your babies look great HD! Glad I can come along for another ride (since I'm too chicken to throw up a GJ of my own).
