To your question about growling indoor Vs outdoor. Your outdoor patio may hide your plants from view, but it won't hide the smell. Unless that isn't an issue then it would be personal preference. Good luck and have fun!!

I don't care about smell too much..
By outdoor I mean getting a smallish greenhouse or putting my tent outside.. I'd supplement sunlight with hps for a 20/4 eitherway.
I can just grow more plants if I did the greenhouse/tent outside.. I don't know if those tent are made to withstand rain and temperature though.. still researching but want to make a decision very very soon.
At this moment I'm thinking about getting the 4X4 Secret Jardin Orca tent. It looks like it costs $$$ but it seems to be more efficient so that 400w bulb will be utilized better

Went with a gorilla tent 4x4 set up. Waiting on the pieces to arrive and I will begin..
I'm pretty excited to start this I'll be trying my best not to mess with the plants too much lol
