Hi guys,

Well I'm sure this is a new type of post isn't it?
Please forgive me for my noobism...
Like the title says, this will be my first grow and I'm hoping to make it a successful one. After watching a buddy of mine kill his clones after a lot of hard work, I've decided to try for myself and begin from seeds. After researching, I think I've found that feminized seeds are best, and even better would be the auto flowering versions.
I'm currently looking at buying a few seeds from gorilla seeds but I'm still unsure which strains I want. I definitely want to grow the strongest, best tasting buds EVER so this is kind of overwhelming.

I'm also undecided if I want to do outdoor or indoor. I have a small patio to my room that would be great to grow in. Its accessible by sliding door and is blocked off by 3 walls, a high wood fence, and my sliding door. If I grew indoor it would either be in my bathroom which is pretty large, or in my closet. I think I want 3-4 plants maximum. Probably 2-3 if I went the indoor route.

I really don't know what all I even need yet. I saw the thread that lists out must have tools but that didn't mention soil, pots, lights, fertilizer or anything like that but I'm going to get the temp gauge and PH tester from the links provided and am still unsure of the rest.
Is there a tutorial somewhere around here that shows everything that I need and the process in detail?
I am pretty sure I want to do soil as it seems to be the easiest/most cost effective.

So basically this thread is a, "SOMEONE HELP ME/SPELL THIS OUT SO I DON'T RUIN MY GROW PLEASE," type of thread :)

Thank you guys.

After doing more research on this site, I'm looking at auto night queen and auto brooklyn cookies from dutch-passion. Please somebody let me know if there are better strains :)

@NewGrower83 ask 20 people what their favourite strain is and you'll get 20 different answers. If you stick with dutch passion, dinafem, mephisto and sweet seeds you cant go wrong!
Keep reading journals on here until you see a growing style that you like- then copy that dudes set up and how he grows.
Best of luck bud

Thank you. I'll look for the journals on here somewhere.. have mostly been researching seeds. I think the first thing I'll need is a tent and some pots.. I'll likely stop by a local grow shop and try not to get ripped off lol.

DUDE. Thank you so much for that. I'm placing an order now for girl scout cookies, pineapple express, and cream of the crop!

Nice choice mate , I'm also in the process of starting my first grow just need to wait til payday to buy my light and then I'm ready to go , I found my local grow shop was actually the most reasonable for prices and they even asked questions and gave me some advice , so try yours out you never know bud.

Thank you. I'll check them out tomorrow. I did look online for some things so I have a point of reference.
Edit: Scratch that ebay deal. Turns out the products were crappy. But now I'm on to something and will probably pick this thing up if you guys can recommend! http://growershouse.com/veg-master-4-x-4-fluorescent-432w-grow-package

I saw the KIND led lights and I wanted one but then I saw the price.. not worth it for what I am doing lol

I don't like gorilla seeds, they're expensive.

Discreet seeds are the best UK vendors imo, fast and cheap.

And the seeds always come sealed in the breeders packaging...

As far as lights are concerned, two out of the three of mine came from eBay, all grownorthern and all fantastic LEDs, so naturally I'm biased.

Do not be a tight wad when it comes to lights and extraction fans and smell filters.

That's the best advice I can give as a novice myself.

That looks good , Im not too sure about the price as I haven't looked into how much the tents cost as il be growing in a closet , however my local grow shop also sold a tent/light/fan bundle so I'd definitely check there first , also if you have any problems with equipment you can take it back to the store rather than have to wait for replacements and send things off to and from an online store

To your question about growling indoor Vs outdoor. Your outdoor patio may hide your plants from view, but it won't hide the smell. Unless that isn't an issue then it would be personal preference. Good luck and have fun!!
