Help I think I have Thrips and spider mites!

Hi Hank! :Stones slap:... sucky news about the bugs, and it's about to get a little worse- see those squiggly lines in the leaf tissue? those are leaf miners, a type of caterpillar... easy to kill though, but the thrips will be a war, not just a battle... Neem should work, pure neem is best, the derivative formulation is okay, but sometimes it just doesn't do the job,...over do it, and your may burn the leaves... I had then on my outdoor grow, and had great results using Spinosad, which is sold as a spray under several company names (got mine at Home Despot - Capt'n Jacks Dead bug); spinosad is a bacteria-made neurotoxin that only affects certain bug species; it's food safe/organic rated too....I like it for blooming plants best because unlike neem, it leaves no residue... what I saw with close observation is the thrips get sick right away, put off their feed if you will, and by next day they were toast.... thrips are highly mobile, adults can fly,... so when you treat, clean the whole area, remove debris (hiding places); eggs are laid on/in the plant, larvae feed, then drop into the soil to pupate into adults (don't eat during this process), so diatomaceous earth, or pyrethrum powder(also a neurotoxin made from chrysanthemums) on soil surface will help slam the door on reinfestation.... no lie about the war, mate.... you must deal with them like a obsessive serial killer! :X's Evil Laugh x: good luck bro'!

I will check down at my local grow shop and or Amazon see if I can find it. Really going to try to hit this hard. Fall is coming and it should start to kill everything off out side in about a month or 1 1/2 months. +reps

Grind up 4 TBS chile powder...add water (pint to quart), add a few drops of dish soap....spray 2-3x a day. Can you take out plants to shower with water? Adding the chile water to soil helps thrips quickly leave. Thoroughly wipe down grow area with diluted Clorox solution, after water spray down...put your plants back inside.

Thanks man. I have read this. Any brand you like better then? Yes I can take them to the shower. I worry cause my plants are so freaken thick, unreal fat colas, I will get mold with any spraying.

I also got some mighty wash that I will treat the young plants with, at the time I harvest the old. Really dont want to spray anything that could mold out my buds. The are so thick to begin with I fear that.
