Hi Hank! :Stones slap:... sucky news about the bugs, and it's about to get a little worse- see those squiggly lines in the leaf tissue? those are leaf miners, a type of caterpillar... easy to kill though, but the thrips will be a war, not just a battle... Neem should work, pure neem is best, the derivative formulation is okay, but sometimes it just doesn't do the job,...over do it, and your may burn the leaves... I had then on my outdoor grow, and had great results using Spinosad, which is sold as a spray under several company names (got mine at Home Despot - Capt'n Jacks Dead bug); spinosad is a bacteria-made neurotoxin that only affects certain bug species; it's food safe/organic rated too....I like it for blooming plants best because unlike neem, it leaves no residue... what I saw with close observation is the thrips get sick right away, put off their feed if you will, and by next day they were toast.... thrips are highly mobile, adults can fly,... so when you treat, clean the whole area, remove debris (hiding places); eggs are laid on/in the plant, larvae feed, then drop into the soil to pupate into adults (don't eat during this process), so diatomaceous earth, or pyrethrum powder(also a neurotoxin made from chrysanthemums) on soil surface will help slam the door on reinfestation.... no lie about the war, mate.... you must deal with them like a obsessive serial killer! :X's Evil Laugh x: good luck bro'!
