Ok jm so my guess of 5.5 was correct then. I figured the root zone had to be more acidic then the 6.0 runoff to bring it to that level. Would you recommend lime? I can do that next watering to brig g it up

general Hydropnics Ph Up/down kits with the ph water solution it was a kit from HTG ....
when my soil is drier its low below 6 when its wet with the water it usually reads the same as it went in ....and dude this kush i got 2 weeks ago ,,,,,,cured it and burped it and smelled like i farted cherries ,....kinda funky but sweet and now im bening bent back trying to type ...sorry guys i gott find this strain !!...i do get reading as low as 5.3 when im really dry like 3-4 day dry im doing the weight method

dolomite lime yes... as thats the faster acting of them... even that is slow... dont expect results for at least a few days... sometimes longer... this is where a liquid ph buffer is handy... for fast correction... ph up works nice.... baking soda works ok.... be sure to use very small amounts (1/8th tsp per bump) stirring thoroughly for several minutes... letting it sit for 10 or 15 and stirring thoroughly again... then rereading the new ph... the continuing adjustment if neccesary.... it too is slow....
as a side not... white vinegar works well for ph down in a pinch...

ok... make sure you hannah pen is calibrated... and trust runoff and source water ph from the pen... hannahs are good... I wont poop on HTG any more than to say I'll NEVER order from their cheap asses again. lol 
if you really want a good tool... spend $60-$70 US and get an Accurate 8 ph pen:

Ok thanks. My water naturally is 7.5 I ph down to 6.5 after nutes are in. Should I let it stay at around maybe 7.0 this next time or just use the buffer to bring up gradually
