hey guys new to all this but really glad i found this community and there is so much good info :)

Germinated my 1st auto seed using the paper towel method 2weeks ago.
planted it about 3mm deep in my soil.
it sprouted up really healthy but the shell was still on it i read around and a few posts that said to wait for it to naturally come of , i waited a week and nothing appeared to be opening up on it so i decided to remove it with tweezers ( worried this was a mistake) .

now its looking like this image.jpg

have i stuffed my plant ?
anyone else had this problem ?

thanks all

Hi bigblaze...welcome to AFN!

anyone else had this problem ?

I think most of us have had the sticky seed pod problem at some stage. It's hard to tell from your photo, but did the cotyledons make it through? If so, the first leaf set should be poking through soon.

this happens sometimes looks like the plants intact from the picture. it should do O.K looks like you were very gentle when removing the shell no visible damage.

The pictures I've added here show something similar to what you've gone through.. The first picture with the 2 seedlings in it; if you look closely, the plant on the left has its shell still on and the plant is seedling is still getting big.. The 2nd picture, is of the same plant the day I harvested it..

It's one thing if you ripped some foliage off, and even then, you should still see at least a modest recovery.. I think you're doing fine!!

Canna ... looks good to me ... Nice plant 'G' ... :Cool bud:

Godamit... how much did that lady yield? Looks like an awesome strain to sog...

Looks like you helped open her up. Try spraying her with pH'd water. Also it helps alot to spray twice a day before the cotelydons open up. This helps to soften the shell and membrane so the plant can ditch them on their own. Often times I use a toothpick to help them along.

Tdam: I completely forgot to post final numbers...

The strain was Ministry of Cannabis Auto White Widow.. I got 89.5g dried between the 2 plants; been in the jars for about 4 weeks now, and is starting to really get the white widow smell to it!!

Allright. Nice. U should post it in the thread as well... believe me... I looked for it but could not find the numbers... now I know why :) She looks awesome man. Congrats.

I have found the helmet a bit of problem 1 or 2 times and I have helped it off. One of the times it almost looked like a stick without any leafs but it survived :) Yours look ok... I wouldn't worry.

UPDATE : 7 days later and she is looking a bit munted :( the leaves are not properly forming )

I am really not sure whats going wrong its under 2 cfl 24W bullbs 24/7 since i cracked the shell off her ,

So my question is : Is the size normal for its age ? (its been in the pot since Christmas day but had the helmet head issue resolved 9 days ago it just seems to be growing so slow . . . . . or maybe i am just impatient :P
