I've been lurking on this site for a few weeks now, and I decided it's time to introduce myself.
I'm in my late forties and a single dad of two great kids. I've lived almost my whole life here in the Phoenix area, and I've been a lover of cannabis since the late 70's.
Been involved in a long distance relationship for a few years now. My girlfriend lives in the Los Angeles area for the time being, so consequently I've been spending a lot of weekends in LA lately.
While in LA, I've gotten used to smoking some great, tasty, potent strains of marijuana that my gf gets from the dispensaries there.
Now, marijuana has always been cheap and abundant here in the Phoenix area. But it's usually just shitty, brown mexican brickweed. Very cheap at only $60 an ounce, but nasty tasting and not the most potent high.
You CAN get nice, sticky, potent buds here...but at $60 per eighth-ounce it's usually out of my price range.
Like I said, I've gotten really spoiled smoking so much good weed in LA. So just recently I finally decided to do something about it and grow my own!
BTW- I've never grown marijuana in my life...ever! I'm a complete noob at this.
Since I have two kids living here at home, I have to pretty much make it a stealth grow. I can't devote a whole bedroom to growing (at least not until the kids leave home), so I'm gonna have to use a growbox in my bedroom for the time being.
For the last few months I've been doing my due dilligence and reading everything I can online about growing cannabis. Eventually, I came across info on autoflowering marijuana & it seemed to fit my needs perfectly: small, compact, potent plants and a relatively short growing time from seed to harvest.
Was researching everything I could on autoflowering mj, and I came across the link to this website...and I can't stop reading all the threads lol!
A huge wealth of knowledge here, as well as a lot of friendly people!
I plan to get some seeds from Attitude and start growing in about 3 or 4 weeks (I can't afford to do anything until after Xmas). I can't wait!!
I look forward to getting to know you all better, and learning all I can about growing autoflowers. Hopefully I won't pester you all too much with my questions...lol!
CHEERS!!!
