I thought I would take a moment to say hello to everyone who actually takes the time to greet and say hello to new members of the site. I'm hoping to find this site to be filled with knowledge and even tempered members who treat everyone else the way they would want to be treated.
A bit about me!
I began growing auto flower plants this past (2018) fall and winter after doing quite a bit of research. I have been retired now for three years and have always greatly enjoyed gardening....veggies and flowers until this past fall. I am on a pretty tight / fixed income so I had to figure out how to breed my own auto flower seeds to save myself a boatload of money. After a month or so of reading and note taking last summer I felt confident enough to give it a go. I bought a 2' x 4' x 5' tall tent and two 450 watt (not sure I'm allowed to say the manufacturer) light fixtures. I timed my seed purchase to coincide with the company's Thanksgiving sale. I purchased three seeds each of four different strains. These were all auto flower strains to include Quarter Pounder (my reversed plant) , Gorilla Glue, Stardawg, and Tangerine Dream. I was successful at producing pollen sacks on the Quarter Pounder plant. I used this pollen to pollinate a few buds on each of the four plants. So now with a good number of seeds in my modest collection I'm ready to learn all the ins and outs of growing auto flower plants.
I currently have one of my crosses growing QP X GG and although not a very big plant it has some nice colas on it. I'm hear to learn the techniques and tricks to growing larger, higher yielding auto flower plants.
