Hi everyone! My name is Evan and I'm from Illinois, USA. I lived in Chicago for the majority of my life but relocated for a master's program further south. I have been lurking this site for a long time and I am all set to start my first grow ever. Literally ever. I will post up a grow journal in the next few days in the rookie section and I am looking forward to growing with all of you! There is an amazing treasure trove of information on this site and I thank you all for that whether you realized you help me or not!
I will be running an indoor 3x3x6ft tent in my garage with an adjustable inline fan that can go way above the capacity of my tent if I need to pull humidity, heat, etc from the tent. I am planning on running a 2000w led, 370w actual, and having that be my sole light for the entirety of the grow. I will be popping 3 white widow autos as soon as they germinate, currently 10 hours in a glass of water then on to the paper towel so I can see them pop before planting. I am running the fox farm trio and botnicare cal mag +. I am a rookie so I am low in nutes and honestly probably won't be investing in more til my second grow.
Soil medium I am using is 40% fox farm ocean forest, 40% fox farm happy frog, 20% perlite, with 1 tbsp oyster shell per gallon(added buffer because fox farms has issues with going way acidic, oyster shells are 100% calcium carbonate without the extra magnesium to make the soil rock hard like dolmite lime can) of soil in 4 gallon aeration bags. I will keep you all posted when I get em potted and the fun truly begins.
