Hey everyone my name is DeliMan and I'm a new grower.Im only growing for myself basically to ditch all the sketchy dealers. My set up is going to be in the corner of my closet and I'm using a 150w hps. My plan is to have 2plants going at a time and I'm wanting to grow autos because there fast and stealthy. I'm not sure what strains I'm going to grow yet so maybe someone can point me in the direction of a beginner friendly strain. My soil is either going to be ocean forest or promix organic blend. I will also be using 3 gallon bags. So let me know if I'm off to a good start and if a 150w hps will really be worth my time but it's all I can afford right now. Peace

Welcome Deliman, you could grow a nice pair of ladies under a 150w hps :smokebuds:

welcome to AFN Deliman!..
i'm also new and i must say it's the best forum to be in, very nice and helpful atmosphere :booya:

Thanks for the welcomes and replies. After looking at some strains I'm leaning towards flash seeds jet47 or Santa. Does anyone have any experience with either one of these strains? I'm trying to go pretty cheap on my first run

Welcome to AFN and the New Growers forum. A 150 watt HPS should be good for two plants. They don't give off much heat but you will still need good ventilation and a carbon filter to control the smell from them. As far as what strains to grow, Jet47 is a good, one of my favorites. Mi5 is also a good choice. Easy to grow and yields well with a well balanced stone/high. I would advise against using the FFOF for seedlings. It contains a lot of worm castings and guano, which can be too hot for seedlings. I've not seen a breakdown on the Pro Mix organic yet, but suspect it may be the same or similar. Best to use something like FF Happy Frog or Pro Mix BX to start seedlings and then move to the OF or Pro Mix Organic once they are a bit bigger.

Haven't run either of the two you mentioned, but have heard both are good. Stitch's genetics are reliable and pack a punch. If you need any advice Muddy is the man, knows what he is doing and has been a tremendous to help to me. Best of luck and you could not have found a better site.

Thanks for the tip about the soil Muddy. I'll grab some Happy Frog ASAP. I'm ordering my seeds tomorrow gonna go with the Jet47 to start out with, and yes kryptogreen this site is very helpful. I can already tell I'm going to like it here.
