Greetings to all of you and a hearty thanks! I have been going through post after post after post here learning and putting things together for a grow.

2012 after many many surgeries, medications and all I left my job since 1992 on disability
May 2019 my doctor prescribes medical cannabis for my condition (in Utah) and encourages me to talk with dispensary bud tenders for their recommendations
Around Sept 2019 visited family in CA and tried
So that’s the rough timeline. When I began, I had the Utah-specific rules in mind and trepidation in my heart...I remembered ‘doing’ marijuana 30 years ago and with brain fog being my largest complaint from all the meds, I was worried. Utah also had written into their law that we needed to use some product that was a known amount so I began with DabTabs (and they don’t look like an illegal drug!).
What a wonder! After dealing with this ongoing pain for years, finally having a medicine that is not restricted to what I have for a day means I don’t have to work extra hard on easy days to try and save medicines for the harder days but I have some control over it! Woo boo! But now I’m dealing with the cost. My insurance won’t pay nor will my FSA work to purchase and with DabTabs around $80/g I kept searching.
Quite a number of dispensaries in California during that trip, I’ve tried a couple in Vegas and one in Mesquite for Nevada but when I drove towards the East instead, I finally found decently priced medicine! Colorado sells their items for about 25% what is charged locally (and yes, there are 2 dispensaries open now April 2020...the closest a 120 mile round trip). Great! Now I can try to find the best bang for my buck ......
Then I find all of you good folk online and begin to realize that while eeking the best productivity and flavor out from a single plant can result in thousands of $$$ spent and time on it, the plant just isn’t all that difficult to grow! I’m spending about $100/month for my Colorado medicine but that doesn’t include the gas and time for the 300 mile round trip. I use a combination of RSO orally daily (it works great with my pain meds) and some flower vaped during the day with some concentrate in the evenings if it was a difficult day and I wouldn’t sleep well otherwise.
I’ll detail my thinking process, decisions, setup and grow in another thread. And thanks again for all the expert information you all have made available!

long story short, all a person needz -> are seedz :smoking: weed is the best medicine for what ailz ya, and nowadayz, it only makez logical sense to grow ur own
