To answer your question, there is a small star under each post. You can click that star and give someone rep for a post. With you being now to the forum you probably won't be able to give much, if any rep. As you make more posts people will begin giving you reps. For example, at harvest time you will get some, for helping other people out on the forum, for posting good articles, for keeping the positive vibe. There are a lot of ways you can get rep. As you build your rep up then you will be able to give more rep as well.
